introducing best flippin' of central mass coming april 2025!
expansion
After more than 50 shows in the Woburn area, the team at Best Flippin' was approached by some Worcester area collectors to consider hosting a show there. With the great success of Polar Park in the summer of 2024 , out of that was the thought of providing even more shows to the area than just once a year.
We will be debuting with 60 tables in April 2025 and potentially expand as the crowd on hand dictates. Look for future information to be posted both on our social media as well as this page regarding public sale of tables. Those wanting a consistent spot should get in at the "ground level" to continue with us throughout 2025 and hopefully beyond.
needs of central massachusetts
Greater Worcester is ever expanding and has a population of over 500,000 people, but very little for The Hobby community to embrace in terms of consistent card shows.
No longer will folks need to drive more than 100 miles round trip to the Boston area to attend a first-rate card show experience. We are looking to bring you all of the great vendors you have come to know and love and of course those local to the area who have been waiting for a great event like we can host.
consistency
We wanted to ensure a place where we could return over and over again, and are happy to report the contract is officially signed with Holy Cross for five total shows (so far). With how unpredicatble Worcester winters can be, we could have begun at the beginning of 2025 but will wait until April 19th to officially launch the first show as temperatures increase.
We also want to take it slowly, make sure everything is working out for both vendors and guests. The first year of shows will be a set up as bi-monthly for April, June, August, October, & December. As we review how the event has hopefully matured and been welcomed by the hobby community, we will look to move it to a consistent monthly event in 2026.
a natural fit
After reviewing several locations in the Worcester area, The Hogan Campus Center felt like the perfect marriage for Best Flippin' Central Mass. We needed adequate free parking, a welcoming youth-based environment, with excellent table & space availability.
We are a fan of large ballrooms and College of the Holy Cross offers just that, with more than 7000 sq. ft. of space for our vendors and customers to spread out between two connected rooms. There are 30-ft high ceilings and sweeping views of both the hills of Worcester county as well as the city skyline of downtown Worcester. Music is important to "Flippin", so you know the tunes will always be played in the background and door prize winners announced over the on-site A/V system.
a campus event occurring at the time of our visit, this is just a portion of the area we will have
what to expect
Not only will we have 35+ of the best card vendors from the area, you will have the college's food options available in the lower level of the Hogan Center at Crossroads.
We are working through a partnership with a Worcester business to hopefully hold a "trade afternoon" event that will occur after each show and have FREE admission for those that atttended the show. Look for continued giveaways as this particular event and a very cool place for those who want to gather further and continue their collecting day.
Finally, we are also looking to start a "Young Hobby Entrepeneur" program. For young collectors 16 years and younger who have not set up a card show before and are looking for some real-life experience, we will be offering a FREE 6-ft table at our events and be coached by another vendor. We will have more info about this program as the first show nears along with the application process.
