hooked on card shows
The founder began going to card shows with his father around the Philadelphia area, including the big ones in Valley Forge, PA & Reading, PA. After meeting larger than life heroes such as Hank Aaron & Mark McGwire to get their autographs, he was hooked.2017
back in the hobby
He attended the Woburn weekly card show with a great friend who came up from NYC that was still collecting cards. After several decades out of The Hobby, he was brought instantly back to his childhood. His first big purchase back was a Brandin Cooks, low numbered, rookie auto after the Patriots signed their new WR to a contract.2021
best flippin' card show is born
The pandemic was awful and card shows were greatly missed. The Boston area didn't really have a reliable Saturday show so as soon as crowd restrictions were lifted, the show kicked off officially in May 2021. The goal was to become one of the most reliable monthly, Saturday shows in New England. 60+ shows as 2025 chugs along, we are very proud of our accomplishments!
jeff megargell
Owner/Founder
Known around the hobby as "Bowman1951", Jeff has been a decades long lover of card shows and started out attending local area Boston shows in the 2010's to record them for YouTube and the overall vibe, long before younger "influencers" took over the space.
Jeff is a super-collector of Tom Brady & Julian Edelman, along with building a PSA-graded 1951 Bowman baseball card set. He considers this thee GOAT card set with almost 10% of the low/high series being Hall of Famers.
He is originally from Pennsylvania and where his love for card shows began more than 35 years ago. Jeff has a serious passion for cardboard and leading Best Flippin Card Promotions LLC into the future. Jeff, his wife, and two young boys reside in Woburn and love that they can bring events locally to their community & beyond. He is also a Board member of Card Shows Kindness, a first of its kind 501(c)(3) which utilizes vending tables to raise money & create an impact on local communities. Mike, also known as "MrDUB", has been in "The Hobby" since the 90's and didn't really take a break like many of us did. Find Mike at our shows assisting with dealer layout and of course selling cards when he isn't opening his own packs.
His most recent card passion is that of football, but the European kind. Fun fact about Mike, he is a super collector of former Texas Ranger, Hank Blaylock.

Co-Promoter, Holy Cross & TCG Conventions
Joe Dupont, like many kids who grew up in the '90s, was a big Pokémon fan. He collected and played in his younger years but took a break until 2019, when his Poké passion was reignited. Since then, he’s been an avid collector, focusing on graded, sealed, and raw cards.
Joe has run his own business, Dynamic Card Collectors, since 2020. He has a strong online presence, selling on multiple platforms, setting up at local card shows, and hosting his own events. He organizes a quarterly TCG/Sports show in Charlton, MA, and has recently teamed up with Jeff to run the Holy Cross show in Worcester, MA.
He recently left his corporate job to pursue a full-time career in TCG and event planning, with the goal of hosting many convention-style events alongside Jeff in the near future.

Craig Panichella is a relationship-builder, marketing strategist, and longtime talent pro who’s now bringing his skills to the world of cards and collectibles as Vendor Success Manager for Flippin. With over 20 years of experience working with big names like Meta, NBCUniversal, Wiley, and LockStock Cybersecurity, Craig knows how to make connections that stick and strategies that deliver. He utilizes his past experiences at places like NBCUniversal with a firm understanding of northeast media markets and how best to utilize this for Flippin' traditional TV/radio marketing efforts. At Flippin, he helps vendors shine, whether it’s locking in prime booth space, boosting brand visibility, or building creative sponsorship packages that make an impact. He’s all about making sure vendors have an awesome experience, fans get an unforgettable show, and everyone leaves a little happier (and maybe with a rare card or two). He’s also a huge fan of comics and comic book entertainment, though there’s still hope we’ll convert him to the world of Pokémon and sports cards someday, he says he will stick with Marvel, DC and Image.
chris mccrae
Digital Marketing
Also known as "Cardi C", Chris is with the Best Flippin' crew as an expert in marketing graphic design and an invaluable part of the brand. Chris has a passion for the analytics side of sports which translates well into the card space. He recently began a side project called The Smarter Collector which is a fascinating deep dive into the analytics side of cardboard, check it out.
Chris is a huge fan of rare 90's inserts, with a focus on collecting some of the most unique cards that exist of Red Sox legend, Nomar Garciaparra. You can also find him procuring high end patch autos of some of today's NHL greats.
